Treebeard Blue Captain Guide

Hello, this is Ironbraid from Treebeard a VIP server. The level cap right now is 95. The picture above is my current trait for running blue cappy. These traits that I have selected in collaboration with Ambor to give a better chance on keeping the fellowship/raid alive.

The abilities above are your healing abilities. These are important just like your dps skills you use to Win. For blue cappy there is no set rotation other for when you need get a nice heal off for the fellowship/raid. We will start off with Reform the Lines, it is ability that you want to use if your fellowship is taking damage for a short period and your other heal abilities are on cooldown (CD). As you see from reading the ability it restores a nice chunk of health with a Heal of Time (HoT) addition to giving 3 stats. Tip: Be mindful of situation and use either before or after a big hit or hits. Depending on the fellowship. Next Gallant Display, This is average attack with okay heal but it is worth to use. It gains a better heal if use it off of CD that heals the fellowship within 30 meters. Tip: Don’t be afraid to use it or forget about it, worth it when the fellowships is taking aoe damage and need a little pick me up.
We are going to cover 3 abilities. Next 3 abilities: Rallying Cry, Words of Courage, Gift of Spirit. Rallying cry is skill that you will use often and most of the time off CD. It does a decent initial heal with HoT. Tip: When fellowship took a decent aoe damage this is a good cover. Words of Courage skill is used for single target heal and has a good HoT that ticks every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. Tip: Use on a member that took heavy damage or tank. Gift of Spirit is a skill that is also single target heal, it heals for a large amount and used for when member is below 50% or less of morale. Tip: This is your own judgement. Your awareness is key of everyone’s health plus your own. Next Improved Standard of Honour. This skill will does decent damage with pulsing heals every 2 sec for 15 secs. Only a minute CD which is really convenient. Tip:  Can be used quite often when there is movement and/or people are stacked and incoming damage is about or has happened

This is second part to the healing for blue cappy. Start off with Valiant Strike, It has good heal with an HoT heals the fellowship. Next ability Blade of Elendil, This skill has a decent damage but it give 3 stats to the fellowship but also sets up for a bigger heal when used before Valiant Strike and give Valiant Strike 20% stronger heal. The buff is in the picture for reference. Tip: Always try to use Blade of Elendil off CD if it is used for Valiant Strike or for the stats for the fellowship and Valiant Strike is great AOE heal for the big damage when used with Rallying Cry.

These skills are going to used on the tank or your herald Shield-Brother: it gives 3 stats to whom it is placed on. Next To Arms: This gives a decent shield but also a heal buff and takes less damage. Next Inspire: This is skill you want to use often if not off CD. Restores power and 5% incoming Healing modifier within 10 meters but also heals your Shield-Brother plus when in range the fellowship 20 meters. Next Shield of the Dunedain: Nice damage reduction. Tip: Shield-Brother the tank and if he tanking adds with the boss can use either To Arms or Shield of the Dunedain. Don’t be afraid use when you see the tank taking a lot of damage, use with heals. Inspire off of cd to keep your power regen and heals modifier up on fellowship.

This skill is important Revealing Mark: When fellowship is within 15 meters of the target skill attacks trigger an AOE heal every 5 secs at 4% max morale. Tip: This mark should be place on the boss or a target that will stay alive for a bit. The off heals just by attacking the target is well worth it. Also some bosses will remove the mark when they transition so you will have to reapply the mark that is when your awareness comes in as well.

Next is the buffs that improve our skills. You remember Elendil’s Favour, That is needs to hit on CD throughout the fight for the stats for the fellowship and improving your Valiant Strike heal by 20%. Next is Gift of Spirit, This is buff that you need to use physical attacks a total of 5 to get this buff that will enable you to use the skill Gift of Spirit and will stay available until 9 seconds after battle ended. Next buff Tactician’s Prowess: Is third tier in class traits that unlocks and is a passive.

Next buffs Battle-Hardened: is when you use Devastating Blow or Pressing Attack (AOE) and is a buff you want up when needing to heal with the other buffs that improve your heals and damage with a nice 15 second duration. Next buff Battle-Readied: is after you use Battle-Shout or Defensive Strike. Next buff is Inspirited: This is the buff that needs 5 stacks for your Gift of Spirit.

This buff Enemy Defeat Response: When an enemy died and you get 2-3 responses. 1- Routing Cry, 2- Rallying Cry. 3- Gift of Spirit (if you have the 5 stacks of Inspirited)

Next up we will go over Herald’s.

Herald’s are self explanatory.  When in a fellowship and you’re the only cappy the go with Herald of War or Archer but if another cappy is in another fellowship then it is fine for both of you to use Herald of War since Herald’s are only fellowship wide and not raid. The other herald’s are use to what your fellowship might need if they are lacking in mits to power draining. Tip: If 2 or more cappy’s are in the same fellowship then ask what they other(s) cappy’s are going to bring out.

Let’s talk about Captain Standard: This is for Treebeard capped level for the moment. This is best you can get with good stats. There are standards while leveling that can change your appearance of your herald and gives armor to the herald. Tip: If you can keep up to date on standard for your herald is good. When are at max level try to find or ask for someone to make you this standard.

Here is LI Traceries I use

This my Traceries that I am using. Using Heraldry of the Owl for helping with my resistances. I am using Heroic Precision for more Critical Rating as you see most of my traceries have crit. Since most of our spell are raid wide now take advantage. There are 3 skills that are fellowship and not raid wide (Reform the Lines!, Inspire, Valiant Strike) Keep in mind hit your Outgoing Healing, Critical Rating, physical/tactical mitigations then Finesse, Resistance. When you need to OGH, then Mitigations, Critical Rating, Finesse, Resistance. Especially if you are going to be doing more group content.

Now I am going to show you a rotation that I use when a fight starts. This rotation is moment to moment to the situation. Tip: You can adjust this rotation to your liking or what you need at the moment.

Battle-Shout -> Improved Sure Strike -> Improved Cutting Attack -> Grave Wound -> Blade of Elendil -> Valiant Strike -> Defensive Strike. Defensive Strike is the start of the rotation again while some of the skills are still on CD you should be using the other skills that I mentioned above for healing. Tip: Make sure your Revealing Mark is on the target and after each phase that it is still there.
